I grew up and reside just outside Cleveland, Ohio. Spent the first 40 years of my life undiagnosed with autism and ADHD just searching to find myself and my place in this world. Married at 40, diagnosed as autistic at 41, and have been changing and growing since. I’ve raised my two autistic stepsons. I started my own software business in 2023 and I specialize in SaaS, marketing, and automation. I work with coaches, course creators, and autistic entrepreneurs like me by providing software solutions and digital marketing/automation services.
What makes me unique is my highly analytical mind and my pattern recognition skills that I believe comes from my neurodiversity. I follow and am inspired by people like Tony Robbins and numerous life/spirituality coaches. I am passionate about the mission and vision here at DadsMOVE and I am dedicated to offering what assistance I can in areas of marketing, course building, and training.

I was born in Cairo Egypt in 1975 and grew up in Kuwait. I attended Kuwait English school (a British school) until 1991, then studied Computer Science at the American University in Cairo (AUC), graduating in 1996. I received my Master’s in Computer Science at AUC, graduating 1998, and my MBA at Seattle University, graduating 2017.
I’m a single dad of two kids: a 20-year-old daughter and a 13-year-old son with Autism and FragileX. I have 21+ years of high tech with experience at Alcatel, Microsoft, Intel and others. In my free time, I love trying new foods with my daughter and going on walks with my son. I understand first-hand how difficult it is for a father to advocate for my child in the system, and how difficult it is to find support needed, and how the father’s wellbeing, mental health and overall perspective is all too often ignored or overlooked by the society we live in, the institutions and the legal system.

As an import from California, I have a unique West Coast view of people and communities. This experience allows a wider and diverse perspective for identifying the unique nuances for families within a widespan of varying communities. I also have a sibling who requires special care.
In my day to day work I am a Senior Program Manager at Amazon and have experience in international logistics and operations management, as well as working for the State of California within a range of State Departments that focused on consumers, environment protection and tourism marketing.
I live for tennis and have a background in competitive play; grow food to donate to local food banks; tour the world, am a FurMama to an amazing Flemish Giant Rabbit named Koa. I am a connector of people and create a safe environment for those around me to learn and grow. I am passionate about the support and services Dads MOVE brings to the state and I believe in the Mission, Vision and values that Dads MOVE encompasses.

Nelson Rascon
Executive Director |
I currently serve as the Executive Director for Dads M.O.V.E.
My involvement with the nonprofit world started as I was raising my three special needs children. While searching for support for my children, I collaborated and built relationships with several nonprofits and parent support groups. I have shared my life experiences helping my family and began helping others. From this work, I developed a passion for helping other parents, particularly fathers, navigate the challenges of parenthood. My expertise is rooted in personal experience, National Peer Certification (2012), certification in additional training modules, certified training module development, and serving as a Peer Certified Counselor. I have also attended and presented at several national conferences. It was in 2007 that I decided to launch Dads M.O.V.E. with a host of dadvocates. I seek to expand awareness about mental health and special needs for my community. |
