Adult and Youth Mental Health First AidMental Health First Aid is a course that teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. The training gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide initial help and support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem or experiencing a crisis.

Collaborative Problem SolvingA 10-week course based on the book “The Explosive Child” by Dr. Ross W. Greene. We will provide new strategies and techniques to care for children who experience frequent emotional eruptions. Each class is two hours a week.

IEP S.M.A.R.T.
|
Juvenile Crisis Intervention Training (JCIT)A specialized training specialized for law enforcement personnel and first responders. We educate personnel about a variety of ways to de-escalate and communicate with children based on exhibited mental health behaviors. De-escalating a child with ADHD is different than de-escalating a child with autism.

Legislative Advocacy TrainingThis training provides an overview of how our state government works and how to best advocate for change and improvements

Love and LogicThis training, introduced 30 years ago, is taught in many schools across the nation. It is a philosophy of raising and teaching children that allows adults to be happier, empowered, and more skilled in their interactions with children. Love allows children to grow through their mistakes.

Parent PartnersA two to three day training providing a solid foundation for youth and adults who wish to assist other families on their journey to recovery. Skills include recordkeeping, confidentiality, cultural competency, active listening, personal safety, IEPs, wraparound, ethics, self-esteem and self-care.

Parenting SkillsA training that covers the Big Three of parenting skill styles: 1-2-3 Magic, the Explosive Child, and Love and Logic. This training can take up to two days to complete. By the end, you can select a parenting style that works best in your home in this training institute workshop.
